Here is a nice little slideshow from Chile in 2005 starring Ricardo Campello and Victor Fernandez. This was my first trip to Chile and it really showed me what a beautiful country it is. We covered many, many kilometres in search of wind, waves and action and the thing I will always remember is the great reception we had from all the local people. It’s not a rich country by European standards but in many ways the people are better off. Outside of the big cities there is little crime and people live a great life either farming the fertile land or fishing in the Pacific.
During this trip most of the spots we visited were right in the region that has been devastated by the recent earthquake. I feel for the locals and hope they can rebuild their communities and overcome their losses. If you want to help you can donate some money by clicking here.
