Having done many trips with Kauli Seadi over the past, photographer and filmmaker Brendan Pyatt built up a close relationship with the multiple world champion. From this friendship Kauli asked umi to take over a special project: putting together a portrait of his windsurfing of the last four years. Kauli and his friends documented most of the trips they went on, leaving them with hours and hours of footage from a variety of locations. But what to do with all this raw action?

Novela das 8 shows Kauli in Chile, Cape Verde, at home in Brazil, Maui and Jaws and also features a chapter on the PWA events, a look at his amazing competition performances.
