I have the best memories from my afterschool sessions in the springtime with my father, when I was 13 or 14. Drive fast to the beach and run to the water... every session you feel like you are doing better than ever, and you never have enough. My first loops, my first aerials...

I go to the toilet, most of the time.

An old Audi A4 station wagon, and a VW Transporter.

What’s your favourite spot?

My homespot, La Coudouliere, but unfortunately it’s kind of shitty. I’m a big fan of Indonesian, Canarian, African and Irish breaks... sick riding and almost no one around.

What spot / location would you like to visit that you haven’t been to?

Iceland would be nice, something different, but I’d also like to spend some time in Australia once.

Wave riding or jumping?

I love jumping in strong winds, but I’m more of a wave riding addict!! All kinds of waves..I just love that shit!

Who do you most hang out with?

umi boys Alex and Jonas, Vikteam boys Antony (Ruenes) and Wesh (Taboulet), Boujamaa, Kevin Mevissen and Tonky.

Who’s your toughest opponent?

Everyone who’ll beat me in the future.

Best umi session?

Classic Easkey, logo high 200 meters long walls, glassy like the ass of a baby, 15-20 knots cross-off, sunny and chilly, and only Alex, Timo Mullen and me... moments when you don’t even think about shagging!

All the same shit I guess.

Any spiritual wave riding masters?

Jason Polakow because he just rips better than anyone, Keith Teboul because he is small like me, he rips and he is a really nice person and Scott McKercher because he also rips, and he is the coolest wave world champion ever.
